China-Central and Eastern Europe Enterprise Technology Project Matchmaking Conference <\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

– Discussions on Cooperation Between the Governments and Businesses of China, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Hungary<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural China-Central and Eastern Europe Enterprise Technology Project Matchmaking Conference, hosted by the Central and Eastern European Trade Union, took place in Prague. Dignitaries from China, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia attended, including Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Martin Tlapa, and Director of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic, Yuan Mingsong. Representatives from the Chinese delegation included government officials from Ningbo, Chengdu Development Zone, and Tsinghua University Zijing Innovation Research Institute. The Czech delegation included representatives from various organizations, such as the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Investment Department, Czech Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Managers, Czech Chamber of Commerce, and several Czech companies. The Hungary and Slovakia branches of the ECETU organized the participation of relevant enterprises in the matchmaking conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Central and Eastern European Overseas Chinese Summit in Ningbo was grandly inaugurated. Over two hundred overseas Chinese from 42 countries and regions along the ‘Belt and Road’ and Central and Eastern Europe gathered in Ningbo to discuss the theme of ‘Overseas Chinese Innovation, Shared Development,’ contributing to the overall cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries. Wan Yawei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Ningbo Municipal Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, as well as Chen An, Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, attended the opening ceremony. The ECETU was invited to deliver a speech.”<\/p>\n<\/div>

China (Guizhou) – Czech Industry Cooperation Matching Conference (photo on the left)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Guizhou delegation hosted the China (Guizhou) – Czech Industry Matching Conference at the Brno Exhibition Center, with the ECETU invited to participate. Simultaneously, nearly 50 companies from both China and the Czech Republic attended the event. During the conference, Wang Jinsong, Commercial Counselor of the People’s Republic of China in the Czech Republic, reported that in 2017, China became the third-largest trading partner and the second-largest importer for the Czech Republic. The bilateral trade volume between Czech Republic and China reached $14.3 billion, a growth of 14.1%. Specifically, Czech exports to China amounted to $2.41 billion, showing a growth of 26.0%, accounting for 1.3% of the total Czech exports. Czech imports from China reached $11.89 billion, marking a growth of 12.0%, and constituting 7.3% of the total Czech imports.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
